System Planning Tools

We support health system administrators and planners in the structuring and planning of regional chronic kidney disease services in Ontario.

Our system planning policies, procedures and guidelines help make sure that planning is consistent, effective, fair and efficient. We provide Regional Renal Programs with tools to guide planning for physical space and operational activities. These tools support:

  • emergency planning
  • capacity planning
  • service delivery models
  • capital planning
  • planning for ad hoc initiatives

We also provide a set of criteria to define expectations of Regional Renal Programs through the Regional Renal Models of Care.
