Accessing Data

CCO collects and manages one of the most comprehensive healthcare data sets in Canada. Data and analytics are integral to meeting the growing demand for greater health system accountability, better health outcomes and improved patient experience.

We produce and disseminate regional and provincial statistics on incidence (new cases) and prevalence (commonness) of home and in-centre dialysis, vascular access and annualized patient time (time on treatment over a year). We also report on dialysis capacity, and the performance of the Regional Renal Programs and the Ontario kidney care system.

By request, we can provide customized data sets from CCO’s extensive data holdings to support a research study or to support health system planning requests for aggregate or de-identified, record-level data. Visit the CCO website to request data for research or to request data for health system planning.

To learn about CCO’s data holdings, visit the Access Data page on the CCO website.
