Indicator Proportion of chronic dialysis patients who received a bivalent vaccine

Directionality Higher is better
Denominator Inclusion:
  • Individuals who are receiving chronic dialysis at the end of each month

Exclusion:

  • Those without a valid Ontario health card number
  • Those who had a positive PCR test in the last 90 days
  • Those who self-identify as First Nations, Inuit and Métis
Numerator Among the individuals in the denominator, those who have received a bivalent vaccine at the end of each month.

Considerations
  • Chronic dialysis patients are defined as those who are receiving in-centre dialysis or home dialysis training at the end of each reporting month. This may include some patients who have acute kidney injury.
